I learned today that the Request for Proposal which was scheduled for release last week has not yet been released, per Jim Parajon, Deputy City Manager. He repeated that he will send me an email copy when it's released. The "decision" to be made by City Council about when the matter (how to fund) will be on the ballot for voters to decide (either Nov 2016 or May 2017) certainly looks like even more likely to be May 2017. I believe the decision will be made at the Aug 2 City Council Meeting about the date. As we discussed at our July 11 meeting, the RFP will be sent to various developers to garner their ideas of what kind of commercial development should be built on City property contiguous to the new Adult Activity Center (AAC) through a private-public partnership.
